Terms of service
Welcome to LR 3D Parts ("we," "us," "our," "the Platform"), operated by Mazzanfar Labs LLC. By accessing or using lr3dparts.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.
LR 3D Parts is a community-driven library of 3D printable parts compatible with Land Rover vehicles, including Defender, Discovery, and Range Rover models. The Platform allows users to browse, download, and share 3D model files (STL files). The Platform also operates a print marketplace where registered Printers can offer to manufacture parts on behalf of Buyers.
LR 3D Parts is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover Limited or any of its subsidiaries. "Land Rover," "Defender," "Discovery," and "Range Rover" are registered trademarks of Jaguar Land Rover Limited. All references to these names are for identification and compatibility purposes only.
You must create an account to download parts, submit parts, use the print marketplace, or interact with the community (comments, likes, etc.).
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep it up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or are inactive for an extended period.
3.1 Downloading parts
Parts available on the Platform are provided under various open-source and Creative Commons licenses as specified on each part's detail page. By downloading a part, you agree to comply with the applicable license terms.
3.2 Submitting parts
By submitting a part to the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the original creator of the part, or you have the right to distribute it under the license you select.
- If the part is a remix or derivative of another work, you have complied with the original work's license terms and have provided proper attribution, including the original author's name and source URL where available.
- The part does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property rights.
- The information you provide (description, vehicle compatibility, license, attribution) is accurate.
All submissions are reviewed by our team before publication. We reserve the right to reject, request revisions to, or remove any submission at our discretion.
You retain ownership of your original work. By submitting a part, you grant LR 3D Parts a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and promote the part on the Platform, consistent with the license you selected.
3.3 Attribution and licensing
The Platform displays attribution information for each part, including the author's name (or username), license type, and source URL where available. Users who download and use parts must comply with the license terms displayed on the part's detail page, including any attribution requirements.
For parts licensed under Creative Commons:
- CC BY: You must give appropriate credit to the original author.
- CC BY-SA: You must give credit and share any adaptations under the same license.
- CC BY-NC: You must give credit and may not use the part for commercial purposes.
- CC BY-NC-SA: You must give credit, share adaptations under the same license, and may not use the part for commercial purposes.
3.4 Remix parts
When a part is a remix or derivative of another work, the Platform displays both the remix author and the original author. Users must comply with the license terms of both the original and remixed work.
4.1 Overview
The print marketplace connects Buyers (users who want a part printed) with Printers (users who offer 3D printing services). LR 3D Parts acts as a facilitator of these transactions and is not a party to the contract between Buyer and Printer.
4.2 Printer registration
To become a Printer, you must apply through the Platform and be approved by our team. Approved Printers must complete onboarding with our payment processor (Stripe) to receive payments. By registering as a Printer, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your location, available materials, and pricing.
- Fulfill orders promptly and to a reasonable standard of quality.
- Ship orders using the shipping labels and carriers available through the Platform.
- Communicate with Buyers regarding order status and any issues.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction, including any tax obligations related to income earned through the Platform.
4.3 Pricing
Printers set their own prices for each part they offer to print. The price displayed to Buyers includes the Printer's part price, shipping costs (calculated via live carrier rates), and the Platform's service fee.
4.4 Platform fee
LR 3D Parts charges a service fee on each transaction, calculated as a percentage of the part price plus shipping, with a minimum of $1.50 per order. The current fee is 6.23%. This fee is deducted automatically before the Printer's payout. We reserve the right to adjust this fee with reasonable notice.
4.5 Payments
All payments are processed through Stripe. By using the print marketplace, Buyers and Printers agree to Stripe's terms of service. Buyers are charged the full order amount (part price + shipping + platform fee) at the time of order. Printers receive their payout after the Buyer confirms delivery or after the automatic release period (7 days after tracking shows delivered), whichever comes first.
4.6 Escrow and payout release
Printer payouts are held in escrow until one of the following occurs:
- The Buyer confirms delivery through the Platform.
- Seven (7) days have elapsed after the carrier's tracking information indicates delivery.
- An administrator manually releases the payout (in the case of dispute resolution).
4.7 Shipping
Shipping is facilitated through our integration with EasyPost. Printers generate shipping labels through the Platform and are responsible for packaging and shipping orders. Shipping rates are calculated in real time based on carrier rates and are displayed to Buyers before purchase.
For local pickup orders, the Printer marks the order as ready for collection and the Buyer confirms pickup through the Platform.
4.8 Cancellations
Buyers may cancel an order before the Printer begins printing. Once a Printer has marked an order as "printing," cancellations are at the Printer's discretion. If a Buyer cancels before printing begins, a full refund will be issued.
4.9 Disputes and refunds
If a Buyer receives a part that is defective, does not match the description, or is not delivered, they may open a dispute through the Platform within 7 days of delivery (or expected delivery). We will review disputes on a case-by-case basis and may issue refunds from the escrowed funds at our discretion.
LR 3D Parts is not liable for the quality of printed parts, shipping delays, or any damages arising from the use of printed parts. Printers are independent service providers and are solely responsible for the quality of their work.
4.10 Printer reviews
Buyers may leave a review and rating (1-5 stars) for a Printer after an order is completed. Reviews must be honest and based on the actual transaction. We reserve the right to remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or unrelated to the transaction.
Prices displayed on the Platform do not include applicable sales tax, VAT, import duties, customs fees, or other taxes unless explicitly stated. Buyers are responsible for any taxes, duties, or fees applicable in their jurisdiction upon receipt of goods.
Printers are responsible for reporting and paying any income taxes or other taxes applicable to earnings received through the Platform in accordance with the laws of their jurisdiction.
LR 3D Parts does not provide tax advice. Consult a qualified tax professional for guidance on your specific obligations.
